The Great Awakening has had such an impact upon my life – Rodney Howard Browne

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

The Great Awakening has had such an impact upon my life this past week. When Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne announced that the Great Awakening would be televised live daily,  I became so excited because I knew that it would be so big. For the first time in my lifetime would complete services of revival be live on tv where all the world could see and experience the power of God. Many are so hungry for the reality of the power of God but have not had an opportunity to experience this until now. As I meditated on what is happening, it stirred me up to get hungry for God. I’m becoming hungry again for the things of God and desiring to lay down my life to the will of the Lord. I’m desiring the fire to change me on the inside so that I can have a greater impact on this world around me. This week I’ve been passing out flyers for my dad’s accounting business and everyday I’m being stirred up even more to speak to the people I encounter. People of all ages and nationalities are coming to Christ as a flyer. One person jokingly questioned, “So you’re a part time minister and part time worker?”, and I thought about it and responded, “No. I’m a full time minister and a full time worker.” Another person wanted nothing to do with the flyer that I was giving him and even tried to curse me out. Then out of nowhere I just mentioned that Christ was good and he agreed with me. Immediately I went over to him and shared the Gospel script and he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is doing awesome things in Tampa Bay and abroad. –Angel D.

Great Awakening Meetings – Rodney Howard Browne

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

These Great Awakening meetings have been absolutely life changing! After only a few days of the broadcast, being in the studio audience, my life has literally been transformed. The night that stands out the most from this week is Wednesday night. Pastor Rodney talked about getting all of the dead weight out of our hearts, and about getting a fresh fire, and pressing in for a fresh passion for the harvest of souls. The Holy Ghost really grabbed a hold of my heart; it felt like my insides were on fire. I knew that I had to answer the altar call. The words that Pastor Rodney spoke resounded in my heart, that I cannot afford to be casual in these last days. The time is short! In this hour I cannot allow anything to hold me back from going full out for the things of God. Not friends, not my own personal desires, or ambitions, but God has called me to live in this very hour to reach the lost and dying world that I live in. I rededicated my life to Christ on Wednesday night, because I know that Jesus deserves all of me, every breath and heartbeat of my life. And out of this meeting, I’ve received such a new level of boldness, to open my mouth and pour out all that Jesus has put inside of me. I’m so excited to go and win the harvest for Jesus. I’m so excited to demonstrate the power of the Gospel on the streets. I’m so excited to be used of the Lord in these last days, during this GREAT AWAKENING! –David L.

Praise the Lord. Awakening is the only thing that will change our nation back to its roots. Revival and awakening are breaking out in the United States just as William Seymour said it would 101 years ago.

As For Me and My House by Rodney Howard Browne

Foundation Scriptures: Joshua 24:1-28

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.  Joshua 24:15 AMP

1. The reason most people fail in their life is because they do not understand authority, they do not recognize legitimate authority and they do not make a proper response to authority.

God is Supreme authority—He created everything and is over everything. Every created thing must bow to Him.

Isaiah 45:23

Romans 14:11

Philippians 2:10-11

God created man in His image and gave them authority over the earth.

Genesis 1:27-28 AMP

The devil is an illegitimate authority. He stole man’s authority from Adam and Eve.

Even though he took man’s authority by deception, God still could not just snatch it back from him. Jesus took it back on behalf of man. The devil never would have crucified Jesus if he had known God’s plan to take back man’s authority and to restore man once again into right-standing with God.

1 Corinthians 2:8

God uses His authority for GOOD! God is LOVE, His primary motivation is MERCY and His desire is to BLESS!

2. If you want to succeed in every area of your life, you must submit to legitimate authority. By doing so, illegitimate authority can have no place in your life.

You must personally submit your life to the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

James 4:7 KJV—Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Do not give the devil any place in your life.

Recognize all authorities that God has placed in the earth. Romans 13:1-10

Make a decision to walk in the love of God toward all men at all times.  That includes—and is especially applicable to—your own family.

3. Husbands and fathers—God has set you in place as the head of your home. You not only have authority, but you have responsibility.

Make the decision that Joshua made: as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

You cannot force your family into serving God—you must influence them in.

Set the example of a godly man, who honors the Lord and is submitted to Him in all things.

According to God’s plan, you should be the most unselfish person in your house—not the most selfish—as is often the case.

You are the head of the house—not the dictator and not the wimp!

Recognize that your wife is not as tough as you are and live considerately with her so your prayers will be answered.

1 Peter 3:7

Do not be like a bull in a china shop with your children, but do not abdicate your responsibilities to raise them right either.

Don’t irritate and provoke them—raise them tenderly. Correct them and teach them. Ephesians 6:4

Do not break their spirit. Colossians 3:21

You are the protector or your family. Protect your wife and children from anything that could harm them physically, mentally or spiritually. Protect them from corrupting influences.

You are there to bless your house and to be a blessing to them.

4. Wives and mothers—God has given you your place, under the headship of your husband, to have authority over your household.

Submit to your husband in the fear of the Lord. Submission is not just allowing someone to walk all over you against your will. Do not make your husband force submission on you by rebellion or indifference. Don’t be a bucking bronco or a whipped puppy. You must make the decision for yourself. Decide to submit to your husband—in faith—out of respect to God’s Word.

Submit without giving way to hysterical fears or letting anxieties unnerve you. 1 Peter 3:6

God has given you a pattern in Proverbs 31:10-31

Your husband should be able to confidently trust you, because you only do him good as long as there is life within you. Proverbs 31:11-12

Be secure in the Lord; prepare for the future in faith; speak kindly; take care of your family, while keeping your nose out of everyone else’s. Proverbs 31:25-27

5. Children (of all ages) respect the authority of parents that God has placed in you life. They are there for your good—not your harm. God will hold them responsible for your care and well being.

Obey your parents in the Lord.

Ephesians 6:1-3 AMP—Children obey your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right. 2 Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother–this is the first commandment with a promise–3 That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.

Colossians 3:20 AMP—Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.

NB Every one of us will give our own account to God for our own thoughts, words and actions. Whether we are in authority or under authority, let us each one honor the Lord in our choices. In doing so, we will fulfill God’s purpose for our lives and we will leave a trail of blessing and not a trail of devastation in our wake!

On 3/2/10 I prayed for an 83 year old woman who could barely hear. The woman was saved and knew that she was going to heaven beyond a shadow of a doubt.      When I put my fingers in her ears and prayed for the deaf and dumb spirit to leave her she started to hear well. I prayed a second time and she could hear me all the way at the door. She was smiling from ear to ear.

I was in Belmont Heights witnessing. A lady who was trying to get me to leave her alone, but I just loved on her. The Lord touched her and she began to weep. The spirit of bondage and depression was broken off her. The lady started coming on the bus and she became a member in February 2010. She received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in membership class. She tells everyone and is into the Word. She has been renewed.

On 3/1/10 I prayed for healing for a Spanish speaking woman in the nursing home. The woman had “mucho pain” 10/10. The pain decreased and I prayed again for the pain to be completely removed.  The pain was completely gone challenging thing that I have ever done so far in my walk with God. When I started my internship, I also decided to move, right before campmeeting.

I meet a guy who had just gotten out of the penitentiary 14 days ago and was so thankful because he didn’t know what to do next there was another guy being rushed to hospital from a retirement home his family looked worried for his life and he received Jesus.

I gave a mother the Spanish script and she led herself to the Lord.  At the nursing home, William was in a metal brace.  I had him squeeze her hand and actually he hurt my hand he was squeezing so hard.

Today we went to the homeless shelter.  I led 21 people there to Jesus.  It was so fun to see the changes in their faces after they received Jesus.  3 testimonies stand out the most.  One man was studying the Buddhist religion.  I asked if I could share how we believe so he could compare.  He said, “OK!”  The Holy Spirit came upon him and as he prayed he closed his eyes and lifted his head upward and tears flowed.  He gave me a big hug and thanked me!  The second testimony is that I prayed with Jason who said he had never heard and was so willing to pray.  I was amazed at how simple it was.  There was joy all over him.  The third testimony was Alfred’s rededication.  He was already saved but we made sure.  Joy was all over him.  Doctors say he is a walking miracle after a heart attack and a stroke.  He was facing another tragedy, so I prayed for him that he would see more miracles as God walked him through this.  And a ‘word came for him that he would preach the Gospel.  He said, “I have heard that before”  It was confirmation.  He was so excited for the wonderful plan of God.

Matters of the Heart | Jerardy Sanchez Testimony

On December 13, 2009 there was a Spanish outreach that changed people lives. Many people stepped up to the plate and volunteered. It was so awesome to see the body of Christ come together as one to be a blessing to our community. Many children left with a smile on their face and many families left with assurance that they will have food for the week. It is such an honor and privilege to be part of this ministry and that day I was able to see every single department how everything flowed. I am Dominican so I was able to communicate with the visitors and children. As I did the follow-up calls the next day I realized that many people were filled with joy and wants to come back to the church. Now you may think they want to come back because of the toys and food but in actual reality they said it was because they loved the people here and enjoyed the service very much. The altar call was full of first time visitors being touched for the first time and filled with the Holy Spirit. It is such an honor to be part of this ministry and to know that every single person that help make this happen will be rewarded some day. This is what it’s all about, winning souls and making a difference in people lives. This event not only changed people lives around me but it also impacted my life to know how blessed I am to bless others and their family is the best thing in the world I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This outreach was one of the best I have seen yet and I know there will be many more to come I am excited to see what God will do in the future.

What did Camp meeting mean to me? | Ruth Neff Testimony

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

Camp meeting was very eye- opening for me. It brought me to realize where I was at in my life and showed me it was dangerous if I stayed where I was at in my walk with God. I had underestimated that over a short period of time I could become stale in my relationship with God. I had allowed something in my life to stop me from pressing on toward the goal God had for me to reach. While sitting in camp meeting, God brought me to a place where I was uncomfortable with life in “status quo”. I was challenged not to settle for the way things have been or way they “look in the natural”; and regardless whether or not it is “good enough”.

On Thursday night, the fire of God fell as I had never seen before. The air was charged with electricity. I feel God used the week from the beginning to show me things that needed to be dealt with, that I had been pushing aside because I didn’t want to face them. However, at that point a fresh hunger began to grow in me. A desperation to act on my faith, and trust God to help me overcome the battle that I face and not give up.

My walk with God can’t go anywhere if it’s stagnating. I don’t ever want hungering for God to be my hobby, it’s who I am. Pressing on towards the things that God has for me is what my life is all about. To take the life-changing Word and Presence of God to a lost and dying is what makes life worth living. Whatever challenges come my way, I don’t want to ever give the devil access to my life by the choice not to allow God to change me.

Let my heart be open before Him, and may I hold nothing back, so that He can use me to touch others. If I’m not making a difference, then why am I breathing?ssss

Winter Camp Meeting | Karen Abraham Testimony

Worship Soundtracks from RMIRiverSong on Vimeo.

This past winter camp meeting has truly been a life-changing experience for myself, and many others. I pressed in and relied completely on the Holy Spirit to keep me energized everyday to accomplish all that He set me out to do. I was at the church early for Hospitality Ministry, worked book tables, sang for worship, and was able to participate in the worship experience of the evening services also. Though physically I was tired, the Lord sustained me. His strength was made perfect where I was weak. After the evening meetings, I would go home and just rest in His presence, praying in the Holy Ghost and singing songs to the Lord. The presence of God was so strong in the meetings, that when I would sing on the platform, the anointing caused me to almost fall several times and drop the mic. It really touched my heart to hear the story of Pastor Rodney and Adonica’s life and experience in the ministry and how they started out and the history of what God has done through them. I am so grateful to be connected to such a great ministry and I continuously pray that the same anointing and burden for souls is handed down to myself and the students and the congregation. And that we lock in and hook up to the vision of God in His kingdom and come together just worshipping and shaking nations, as we prepare for eternity. Working in the call center has shown me how privileged we are to be students and to be able to come here for meetings and services. Others around the world long to come to a church where they feel the presence of God, and for that we are so blessed. The power of God is so real and I saw it through the diving healings, and manifestations and favor of God during this Camp Meeting. I sowed in faith the entire week and I constantly reaped from the Lord. It gave me a bolder spirit of expectation. And I thank God for the truth of His Word. Overall, this Camp Meeting taught me more than anything, to stay connected to the presence of God, that it is something I never want to lose or take for granted, and that it will sustain me even in my times of weakness.
